Beetle juice (1:2)

Beetlejuice (1:2)
I picked this shirt up and thought four things 1. This shirt might make you look a bit like the Hamburgler, 2. This shirt reminds me of Beetle juice, 3. You really don't need any more stripes, 4. I can't leave this store without this shirt. I can't explain why I fell so hard for this shirt, but the love seemed to be mutual. Strips shouldn't be my friend, in theory they shouldn't be anyone's friend! I know that stripes should make things look wider and flatter, but since deciding to throw all color rules to the wind, I decided to throw all 'print' rules to the side as well. Who created all of these rules anyways?

Besides the Horizontal Strip rule, I also went right ahead and put on all of the Autumn colors I could find. I know your supposed to celebrate spring with pastels and bright neon yellows and pinks, but I couldn't resist throwing this Autumn orange scarf on. As our weather start to warm up slowly, I can't help but sneak some of my favorite cold weather items out for one last wear before they get packed away for the season. I haven't yet gotten a chance to wear the sweater that accompanies this scarf, or the blue version of this set either, but my orange cowl scarf got an extra chance to see the real world before being hidden for the rest of the season. Oh what a rule breaking rebel I am!

I used to avoid stripes because who wants to look wider and shorter - but then I saw every other blogger in the world wearing them and I decided I couldn't go on without them.
Now I've got like seven tops, two skirts, and a dress.

Plus, you are tall and thin enough to pull them off!

Stripes. Are. Awesome. Get more.

Also, I'm going to lean toward Beetlejuice. You can join The Husband and I for Halloween next year! He has a Beetlejuice shirt... but the Alec Baldwin ghost. Not Michael Keaton.
