Readers, I must admit a secret of mine. Well it's only a secret to you because you don't get to see my desk, or my purse, or my calendars, but anyone who knows me intimately will tell you that I have a touch of
OCD. I am constantly
writing down ideas, making lists and I will always check them twice. As as child I think I just lived in a world of constant rambling, but now I have found that
writ ting down the things in my head helps to keep them all in order. My purse is full of notebooks. I have a blank lined notebook that keeps all of my thoughts, ideas, grocery lists and football scores. I have a smaller book that lists all of my shopping ( to help curb spending) and to help me keep track of what holiday gifts I have already purchased. At home you will find a series of journals. One for photos of fashion inspirations, one for party ideas, and one for everything wedding. Living in a thick creative fog is no longer a problem for this list making girl. I know not everyone lives so organized, but I think that everyone could
benefit from a great blank journal. What a great place to jot down ideas, thoughts, phone numbers or little doodles! Blank journals make a great gift, and are so easy to find online!
While searching
Etsy.com, I came across
BurgandyDistrict, the amazing maker of these great little notebooks. The first is a rainbow journal, and the second is make from
cork board. The rainbow retails for $16 and the bottom retails for $12, but neither price includes shipping.
Etsy is a great place to find all sorts of homemade gems so enjoy their search option and find the perfect size for you.
For the more
eco-friendly friend buy a great handmade journal like the one above. I found this on
Celerystore.com after doing some
eco-friendly googling. For $13.25 this hand woven journal is not only a great gift, but a great conversation piece. With this you can help the
environment and help a friend streamline their life!
Places that sell books will always sell journals. These I found at Amazon.com. They range from $9-$14.
This fun journal was found on
Barnesandnobles.com. I think something like this would be a great gift for a boy who maybe is a bit resistant to pretty flowers and fun trees. Take a look online, there are so many great journals and what a great gift for a friend or for yourself!
