The generational lines

I was sitting at my desk at work the other day talking with a 40 year old co-worker who was standing behind me. As my bangs are still rather short, on hectic days I tend to pin them back and our of the way.As we were going over some paperwork he interrupts to ask a question,

"Do women still wear Bobby Pins? My grandmother used to wear them, but I thought that trend stopped with her generation. Mmmm, good to know."

I than explained that women have been wearing bobby pins for years, even since his grandmother stopped. The idea behind them is to hold hair discretely, so you can't always see them, but they are often there.

See what I have to work with??
