No Shopping Inspiration

Detox Inspiration
Detox Inspiration

Dare I say that so far this 100 Day Shopping Detox has been rather easy? Of course I recognize that now I have gone an jinxed myself and will spend the remaining time in cold sweats and shakes, but so far I have kind of enjoyed my shop-free weeks. It's still very early on and I have a feeling that come my birthday ( November 18th!) I'll be handing everyone I know a complete list of everything I'm just dying to own. For now though, I'm finding it freeing to know I simply won't be shopping. Typically as I flip through magazines, Pintrest and my favorite blogs, whenever I spot something I love, I make a note to add that item to my ' Things to look for when Shopping' list. Now when I spot something I like, I find myself thinking of all of the things in my closet that are similar to that item, or that can be used to recreate the look. This detox is exercising my inspiration muscles!

A great source of Inspiration for me each month is Kimberly from Fab Finds Under $50. Not only does she put together amazing looks each day, but at the beginning of each month, she also puts together a fabulous Inspiration Calendar complete with an idea for getting dressed each day! How amazing is this girl! I like to keep the past months handy in my Inspiration Binder. To help keep me going this Fall, I also printed out the Inspiration Calendar's from the Fall month's during 2010. I've already got a great idea from Nov 10, 2010: Super Print Mix Up, Stripes, Floral/Pattern and Leopard!

This whole shopping ban thing is kind of freeing, isn't it?!? And I'm kind of enjoying shopping my closet . . . and my sisters. =)

Glad you're doing so great! I tried something similar (no shopping for 6 weeks) and failed miserably. You may have convinced me to give it another try :)
