For about a year now I have been on the search for the perfect Blazer Collection. I love the polished look a Blazer can bring to any outfit. They seem to work flawlessly for both casual looks, and for work attire and I knew that I would have a number of uses for a few great Blazers. I decided to add them to my ' Things to Keep my eyes open for' list and have spent the last year or so trying on Blazers in almost every Consignment and thrift store I come across. It hasn't helped that all of my favorite bloggers seem to have piles of perfect fitting Blazers at their fingertips.
My problem is two fold. Firstly, I have a longer torso, and long legs, So crop tops tend to be too short, and Long Blazers tend to hit me funny. I need to be careful of length. Secondly, I am picky. I won't settle for a Blazer that can work but only if I wear it with this one pair of pants. I want a few great options that can work with anything. What can I say? When a girl knows what she wants there is no need to settle. Despite my frustration with what feels like a never ending search, I have enjoyed the hunt. Part of the thrill of thrifting is feeling like you are always one step closer to finding the perfect item, an item that has been waiting for you all along.
When I swung into my Goodwill a few weeks ago, I spotted a Micheal Khors sear sucker Blazer and couldn't help put to slip it on. I've become a pro at trying on Blazers and I know it never hurts to try. What surprised me the most was that when I took that Blazer off the hanger, this one was hiding right behind it. I hadn't even noticed it next to all of the stripped glory. This Blazer was not meant to be a short Blazer I am almost sure. It is a bit tight on the shoulders which leads me to believe that it was actually meant for a much smaller person, perhaps even a child. I often find that sleeves that are meant for average women become 3/4 length on me. This is an example of just that. A sort of ' Fat Man in a Little Coat' scenario.
I would not declare that this Blazer marks my search as complete, though I would say that this makes my hunt even more exciting. This is a great starting point for my collection. My desire for other great items is now stronger. The perfect Blazer is still out there, and this is a great start.

I think this blazer is a great find! You're right, it may not have intended to be a cropped style, but I think it totally works! Plus, the color is so pretty!
