Day 9: Monochromatic

Day 9: Monochromatic

I'm one of those lucky ladies who has a boyfriend who cares about fashion. In fact when Johnny and I first started dating he knew much more than I did about designers and the fashion industry. I've come quite a long way in the last few years however, and I'd like to think that he's got a good handle on designers while I'm covering trends and styles. We're a pretty good style knowing duo.

Day 9: Monochromatic

With Johnny being so aware of what's ' hip and happening' ( safe assumption that those words are probably out now aren't they? Shoot) you can imagine my surprise when at the beginning of the summer he announced that he despises wedges. He didn't say he doesn't prefer them, or that he doesn't get them, he said he DESPISES them, and those my friends are fighting words. I however adore wedges. I can't be sure where his hatred came from. It seems to me it came out of relatively no-where, but he seems pretty stuck to his guns on this one. I've spent most of the summer pointing out wedges that I liked verses wedges that I don't like, but it doesn't matter for him, all wedges get put into the the no category.

Day 9: Monochromatic

Of course I dress for myself, but every women likes to put on things she knows her man likes. My favorite wedges have come out to play this summer, but I haven't made any new wedge purchases. Maybe his feelings have influenced my shopping habits a bit. That was of course until I saw these Franco Sarto shoes on the rack at a Marshall's in New Jersey at a recent business trip. Not only are these shoes beautiful, a bit sexy and oh so chic, they also came with no sales tax. Thank you lovely state of New Jersey. ( It's always important to know the various tax rules when you travel between states so much!) I may never understand Johnny's feelings on wedges, but I do know that I love having a boyfriend with opinions. Even if his opinions may be misguided ;)

Those wedges make this outfit in my opinion, I would love to see you wear them with a dress and a blazer as well :)

Oh I've got big plans to remix this outfit! I didn't think about with a blazer though, great idea! Thanks!

Oh sad, I LOVE wedges. They're so comfortable.

And I really love this outfit. Head to toe blue is so awesome. Bonus point for good color selection!
